We've had some amazing summer weather this week and the snook bite has been on fire for us at the inlet. The ocean has been flat calm allowing us to get out off the beach to catch some primo baits to use for the snook. Catching bait has been a lot of fun itself with consistent action. The snook have been on fire and big, ranging anywhere from 35 to 40 plus inch fish. We can't take time fighting the fish though, those greedy Goliath grouper are right on your snooks tail trying to gulp them up. You gotta reel, reel, reel and power those fish in or else they get eaten. The big tarpon are around but you gotta hunt them down. Near shore reefs and inshore drop offs are holding decent amounts of keeper mangrove and lane snapper.
