This kind of fishing is challenging and takes patience but can have some explosive topwater action when a big fish hits your bait in shallow water. 

 

Our Inshore River fishing trips are more of a relaxing spot and stalk kind of fishing.  We stay out of the rougher waters of the inlet and more into the shallow water flats of the river.  We fish the Indian River Lagoon for snook, redfish, speckled trout, tarpon, jack crevalle, and whatever else feels like biting.  Fishing locations take place anywhere from Melbourne to Vero around docks, flats, bridges, along mangrove shorelines, and around the spoil islands using live & dead baits, freelining, and popping corks, as well as artificial lures.

On these Inshore River trips we will be on our 21ft Maverick Flats boat that allows us to get into the shallow waters of the lagoon.  The flats boat is equipped with an ipilot trolling motor and poling platform for sight fishing.  We prefer a limit of 2 anglers on these trips. Everything you need to hook into a monster fish will be provided along with a great time on the water
