Well hope everyone had a great 2023 but that wasn't enough for me. Now it's 2024 so give me some more. More slaying, filleting and drag screaming action with big smiles is what I'm looking for. This past year was awesome, we had some great catches and unforgettable moments on the water. We caught some big snook, tarpon, permit, African pompano, grouper, filled the airboat with tilapia and ended the year off with some monster bull redfish. I can't thank all my customers enough, it has been a joy to fish with each and everyone of you.
This is the time of year mother nature makes us work for it. To start it all off, the inlet has been pretty hot when the weather allows us to get out. Big snook, black drum, redfish, and bluefish have been pretty consistent the last couple weeks. There's been good numbers of sheepshead in the inlet as well as the river if you can find them. If mother nature allows it fishing along the beach has been good for pompano and whiting. The rest of the river has been a little slower with the colder water temps. This should be the norm for the rest of the month depending on weather.
Bowfishing trips have been the most productive at night. Day bowfising has been tough with all the overcast and dark water but when the lights come on there's arrows flying everywhere. It takes a little bit if you've never bow fished before but once you get the hang of it, then it's no problem filling the cooler.
