Whatever Turns U On Fishing Charters is based out of Malabar, Florida, and here to offer you the fishing trip of your dreams, be it inshore saltwater, offshore, freshwater, or anything in between. Captain Shane is a lifelong fisherman who will be happy to do everything in his power to get you hooked up.

Captain Shane Trottier is a local Floridian, born and raised in Melbourne, FL. As a licensed USCG Master Captain and FWC Certified Airboat operator Captain Shane created Whatever Turns U On Fishing Charters to provide Florida's Brevard county area with the best fishing guide service around. Captain Shane has always been passionate about fishing but most of all making people happy, and what better way than to help them land Florida's most sought out game fish.
On the saltwater trips you will be fishing on a 22’ Sea Hunt bay boat that’s powered by a 200 HP Suzuki engine and has plenty of space for up to four prospective anglers. In addition to the standard safety and navigation gear, it has 2 livewells for bait, epirb, and a wireless Minn Kota ipilot trolling motor to help with holding position.

The freshwater trips will be aboard our new 16' Diamondback airboat powered by a Chevy big block 454 that has more than enough room for 4 shooters or fishermen.

This is a kid friendly charter so bring the little ones and create some great ever lasting memories. Captain Shane uses several techniques from live baiting to artificial lures, drift fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, and skipping mangroves and docks. We provide fishing licenses, rods, reels, bait, and tackle for all our saltwater trips. We provide bows and fishing equipment for freshwater trips. Freshwater trips do require a Florida fishing license purchased separately. Book us today and start reeling in the big one!
The fishing locations will vary depending on what you want to do. A standard saltwater inshore trip will take place in the Indian River and Sebastian Inlet areas. Offshore trips go out through Sebastian Inlet to fish out in the Atlantic ocean. Freshwater trips will be held out near Three Forks Marsh Recreation Area in
Palm Bay, FL. Whatever you want to do, Captain Shane will help you make the most of it.

"Even as a straight A student in school I could never figure out what I wanted to do for a living. I've had a passion for fishing my entire life and I love to make people happy. One day while I was kayak fishing with my buddy Weston, I noticed a redfish tailing right next to me . I was cast netting for bait and didn't have my rod handy, so I called Weston over and told him to throw his bait just past the fish. Almost instantly the redfish dropped down and ate his bait, "fish on!!!!". That moment hit me so hard and I knew right then and there that's what I wanted to do for a living. Soon after, I decided to get my Captain's license and do a job I love.
The company name was created from a saying my grandmother used when I was little. Whenever she would babysit me we would sit down together and watch some t.v. Since she didn't have cable we ended up watching the Home Shopping network most of the time. Every time she would laugh and say "whatever turns you on". That saying has stuck with me my entire life. When my grandparents passed away my family put their ashes into the ocean at Sebastian Inlet. I know they are with me every time I go through there so I decided to name the business after my grandmother "Whatever Turns U On Fishing Charters".
