End of January Report

The same as December, this month of January has been some rough weather. High winds, cold fronts, and rough seas all through the first month of the year. It doesn't stop us from catching fish though but it does make it a little more challenging to find them. We've done quite well inshore with speckled trout on popping corks in the lagoon, big bull redfish and snook at Sebastian Inlet, and some smaller flounder and plentiful jack crevalle around the inlet as well. Did a couple trips offshore this month and did very well on red snapper as usual and some real nice red grouper and some big nurse sharks. One of the trips my clients landed a monster 52 lb Kingfish on mono with a circle hook. February 1st is right around the corner which means, slot snook in the box.
